Dr Hazarika’s condition better

NEW DELHI, Aug 6 – Noted singer and composer Dr Bhupen Hazarika is likely to be moved out of the ICU soon.
This was informed by Rajya Sabha MP Biren Baishya who told this newspaper over telephone that they were given to understand by the doctors treating the legendary singer that he may be shifted from the ICU in the next few days. All his vital parameters are normal and he is breathing normally. A delegation of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MPs called on ailing Dr Hazarika in Mumbai.

The delegation included Kumar Deepak Das, Joseph Toppo, besides Baishya. The singer is likely to be shifted to his room in the hospital, where he would undergo further treatment.

“Bhupenda responded to us and is fully conscious,” said Baishya.
