Music maestro Bhupen Hazarika better, not out of danger
GUWAHATI: The health condition of music maestro Bhupen Hazarika was reported to be stable on Monday evening. The singer was declared critical on Sunday evening.

Talking to TOI, sister-in-law of the legendary singer, Manisha Hazarika, said he has overcome the pneumonia infection, which was causing worry till the morning hours.

"Doctors have just informed us that Bhupenda's condition is stable. Hopefully, he will recover in the next few hours and will be among us again", said Manisha.

Earlier, Surjya Hazarika, biographer of the legendary said condition of Bhupenda improved slightly as compared to Sunday evening.

"Bhupenda's condition has improved a bit on Monday. But, doctors said he is not yet out of danger", said Surjya Hazarika.

He, however, said Hazarika has become too weak as he has not taken any solid food since the last two months.

"Doctors have started feeding him with the help of a pipe through the neck," he said.

Well wishers of the music maestro in Assam are praying for a quick recovery of Hazarika, who is undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
