The world saddens over the sad demise of music maestro Bhupen Hazarika

Music maestro Bhupen Hazarika sadly passed away on November 5, 2011 at 4:37 pm at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital. Born on 8th of September 1926, legendary 85 year old singer, composer, lyricist, music director and filmmaker undergone from respiratory and kidney breakdown. Hazarika was experiencing treatment at the hospital from June 29 after he nagged of his breathlessness situation. His physical conditions got worse further on October 23 following with pneumonia disease. Filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi was next to him when took his last breath. Bhupen Hazarika A versatile and artistic mastermind, Hazarika was recognized as the golden voice of Assam. He was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1992, and in the year of 2001 he was bestowed in the company of the Padma Bhushan Award. Famous persons from all walks of life took the help of Twitter to articulate sorrow over the loss of the renowned music-composer Bhupen Hazarika.
